Als nu de Heere voor zijn aangezicht voorbijging , zo riep Hij : Heere , Heere , God , barmhartig en genadig , lankmoedig en groot van weldadigheid en waarheid .

וְאַעְבַּר יְיָ שְׁכִנְתֵּהּ עַל אַפּוֹהִי וּקְרָא יְיָ יְיָ אֱלָהָא רַחֲמָנָא וְחַנָנָא מַרְחִיק רְגַז וּמַסְגֵי לְמֶעְבַּד טַבְוָן וּקְשׁוֹט:

And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

And Yahweh passed over above his face and proclaimed, “Yahweh, Yahweh, a God compassionate and gracious, long of nostril and abounding in covenant faithfulness and trustworthiness,

Yahweh passed in front of him and called out, “I am Yahweh God. I always act mercifully and kindly toward people, and I do not get angry quickly. I abundantly love and faithfully do what I promise for my people.

The LORD passed by before him , and proclaimed , “ The LORD ! The LORD , a merciful and gracious God , slow to anger , and abundant in loving kindness and truth,

And Jehovah passed by before him, and proclaimed, Jehovah, Jehovah, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness and truth;

And Jehovah passed by before his face, and proclaimed, Jehovah, Jehovah God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in goodness and truth,
